I am a 55 YO single mother, with one child in law school and the other recently a college graduate. Their father passed away when they were 13 & 15 years old. I chose to raise my children on my own, without help from family. I have an extensive work history in Oil and Gas industry, downstream; Sales, Oil and Gas although sporadic. When funds started to become short, I chose to cash in my retirement and pay off my house. Unfortunately the system does not support those who are unemployed, and own their own home. I I cannot get loans so was FORCED to take out $20,000.00 on credit cards for which over the past 30 years I paid off monthly. Because I am unemployed, a dedicated Colorado citizen for over 30 years yet Colorado refuses to assist; actually told me if I cannot pay house taxes too bad. If they do not get paid they will sell to best bidder for the house. Remind you, I can pay tax money to lien holder at 15% interest rate when I do have the monies. State of Colorado UI Benefits short paid me , withheld unemployment monies. When I asked for a reconciliation report of my unemployment; they neglected to provide. They would go up to 3 months without paying when my claim was active, this was my sole income. They did not notify WHEN they chose to short changing my account. They did not keep my online information up-to-date with the excuse; "your checks have to be written by hand." I took odd and end jobs and as a result went from $420.00/week during the employment crisis to $126.00 per week, Colorado stating since I qualified for unemployment earning $126.00/week, they disqualified my Emergency Unemployment benefits, so made $126.00/week retroactive and reversing emergency unemployment. I was refused state assisted programs because unemployment actively report incorrect earnings. I have applied for several jobs, taking assessment tests, etc. It is in my opinion AND I AM VERY ADAMIT about this, we as individuals applying for jobs should be entitled to get the results of these assessments if requested in writing. We are disallowed to apply for the position unless we take the assessment. Toleo utilizes OLD assessments (ie: an assessment for Michaels as a floral designer) and applies them to various applications for a different company versus an assessment for VP of Fuel Supply. In essence this allows the 3rd party to pick and choose which assessment they will submit to a particular company at ANY GIVEN time. This does not take into account emotional status of individuals who have experienced death or financial distress, loss. TOLEO or any assessment corporation (where are their credentials, who do they have to prove they are authorized for such testing) are they regulated????...THESE COMPANIES SHOULD BE MANDATED TO GIVE TEST RESULTS FOR THAT PERSONAL INFORMATION WHICH THEY GIVE POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS if AN applicant so requests in writing. THIS SHOULD BE A LAW. Who regulates these companies? This assessment testing is a multi-Billion dollar industry, and how are THEY REGULATED? My employment depends upon what they report to the Company for which I am applying. THIS IS WRONG, WRONG!!!! I should have the right to get this report, especially within 10 minutes of submitting a time consuming application and taking the assessment, I get booted out of the system; then, receive a rejection letter for employment. In the rejection letter it states I had taken a previous test with the same company for a position I would have never applied for (Sofware Engineer), yet get no explanation. When inquiring about the position, I get "You'll have to speak with the company for which you applied". Where are the law suits. Bottom line, where is a support system for individuals such as myself, who have paid their taxes, worked in the system over 20 years, and cannot get a descent job?
